Rhiannon

Founder of RISE Art Therapy

Art Therapist and Counsellor

Rhiannon Glasser (she/her) is a qualified Art Therapist and Counsellor with over seven years’ experience supporting children and adults across diverse community settings, including schools, correctional facilities, and through Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). She brings more than 15 years of experience working creatively with vulnerable young people, particularly those experiencing mental health challenges and/or living with disability.
Rhiannon holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and has a strong foundation in contemporary art practice. She later completed an Advanced Diploma in Creative Arts Psychotherapy through the IKON Institute in Melbourne—an integrative modality incorporating movement, music, visual art, and drama in therapeutic work—followed by a Master of Art Therapy at La Trobe University.
Rhiannon's approach is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming strengths-based, and playful. She values the role of creativity, spontaneity, and play in fostering emotional growth and self-expression, and sees the creative process as a catalyst for deep therapeutic change. A practising artist herself, her personal art explores the intersection of body, identity, and place—themes that also inform her therapeutic practice.
